So last year, for A Rosenberg Oddisee (an in studio webisode series featuring Peter Rosenberg interviewing artists as they collaborated with producer Oddisee) I linked Freeway with Oddisee to do a record which resulted in As I Ever Been. Freeway, at the time, was doing his Month of Madness music series where he was dropping a new record everyday during December. As I Ever Been was his 25th release that month, dropping on Christmas…

Afterwards, the instrumental leaked around and about 2 months later it appeared as the first track on J. Armz’s instrumentals mixtape How To Be An MC Vol. 57

And now, eight months after appearing on J. Armz’s mixtape, ten months since originally being released and almost a year since being recorded, As I Ever Been has been revisited and renamed Mamma I Wanna Sing by Duck Down’s Sean P featuring Buckshot. Mamma I Wanna Sing is set to appear as track 19 on Sean P’s upcoming release Kimbo Price dropping this Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
